Leadership

Foster-Caviness understands that its success and growth over the past 25 years can be directly attributed to the dedication and determination of its people. From our Customer Service Specialists to our Packers, each and every team partner contributes to the overall success of the company and its customer/market partners. Tapping into the experience, skills, and education of our team requires leaders that can communicate a clear vision for the organization, while cultivating each individual to his or her best potential. The leadership at Foster-Caviness has provided the consistent guidance that has led to our current success in the produce foodservice industry.

Paul Lieb

Paul Lieb

Paul Lieb
Bringing a great deal of experience and knowledge of the foodservice industry, Paul and his father started Best Wholesale Foods in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1974. The company was a distributor of deli, ethnic, and gourmet foods to the local restaurant industry. Having attended high school and college in North Carolina, Paul understood the importance of fostering strong relationships in order to establish a firm foundation for business success. His exposure was not limited to the supply side of the foodservice industry, as the thriving business included the operation of 2 local retail dining establishments that still exist today. It is that experience and knowledge of the foodservice industry that Paul brought to bear when he purchased Foster-Caviness Foodservice in 1985. The new company expanded its offerings, providing a large variety of fresh fruits and vegetables in the surrounding area.

Jeff Gorelick

Jeff Gorelick
In 1994, Foster-Caviness expanded its knowledge and expertise in business when Paul became partners with Jeff, a native born and educated North Carolinian who had extensive experience in financial institutions, training, and corporate operations. Utilizing his training and a decade of experience in commercial lending, Jeff concentrated on the newly established Foster-Caviness Charlotte operation. This powerful combination of management experience enabled the company to grow even more substantially, expanding its reach throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, as well as parts of Virginia and Tennessee. But both owners will assert that it is the firm foundation of local relationships and stewardship that have made Foster-Caviness the successful company it is today.

Steve Johnson
Since joining our team in 1985, Steve has provided an energy and enthusiasm to consulting and advising new and current market partners as Vice President of Sales. His years of experience in account management enables him to understand the particular needs of an individual market partner or potential customer, and customize a produce delivery solution that best serves their requirements. Whether it is a single location restaurant, a corporate multi-location national chain, or a governmental school system or military installation, Steve applies the same attention to detail and dedication to service that has helped our business to be so successful over the last 25 years.
